The Aces continued their winning ways on Saturday afternoon, beating a strong Ridley team 53-35 at the Bryant Gymnasium.
LM held Ridley to its lowest offensive output of the season. It was also the Green Raiders? largest margin of defeat.
The Aces methodically build their lead over the course of the game, using a combination of defenses and balanced scoring to keep the Raiders at bay. Justin McFadden ?14 led the way with 13 points; four Aces chipped in with nine points apiece, including Jule Brown ?15, Corey Sherman ?15, Nick Jones ?15 and Steve Pendleton ?15.
Up 23-19 at halftime, LM began to break open a tight game early in the third quarter. Pendleton converted a three-point play at the 5:54 mark to give the Aces a 28-21 advantage. LM led 35-27 at the end of the frame, then opened the fourth quarter on an 11-2 run to extend the margin to double-digits, highlighted by treys from Sherman and Jones. The Aces extended the lead at the foul line, shooting 20-25 from the charity stripe for the game.
With the win, the Aces improve to 12-2 in league play and 13-6 overall. Up next is a showdown with District 11 powerhouse Parkland on Monday night at 7 PM at Parkland.
