The Aces played against Central League rival Conestoga on Tuesday night in an entertaining battle throughout. It was a back and forth game the whole way but in the end Conestoga won 52-47. Jack Forrest 19 scored 21 points and Steve Payne added 16 to pace the Aces attack.

The Pioneers opened the game on a 6-0 run, but LM responded with a 6-2 run of their own to knot things at 8-8. Conestoga took a brief lead in the second quarter, but Forrest responded with two straight and-one layups and drilled a three to help push the Aces to a 32-28 lead at the half.

The Aces struggled to find their rhythm in the second half. Both teams were on the see-saw for much fo the third quarter, with the Pioneers eventually taking a one-point lead at the end of the frame. Lower Merion never stopped fighting and despite falling behind by seven late, narrowed the gap to one in the closing seconds after threes by Forrest and Julian Hairston '19. But a missed free throw and technical foul on a timeout call (when the Aces had none left), sealed the victory for the home team.

LM looks to rebound on Thursday at Ridley. Tipoff is 7 PM in the Greenhouse.
